Bruce McLaren won Four Formula 1 races (1959 United States Grand Prix, 1960 Argentine Grand Prix, 1962 Monaco Grand Prix and the 1968 Belgium Grand Prix) He won the 1966 24 Hours Of Le Man; He was Can Am champion in 1967 and 1969. He won the 1968 Brands Hatch Race of Champions and the New Zealand Grand Prix in 1964. The McLaren Team has gone on to be the most successful team in Formula 1 history with 20 World Championships. McLaren totally dominated Can Am racing with 56 wins. The Indianapolis 500 has been won three times, as has the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring. He died in an accident while testing a Can Am MD8 at the Goodwood circuit.
