Davis Love III has been a consistent force in the Ryder Cup, playing on
every team since 1993. After several near misses, Davis Love III earned
his first major championship victory capturing the 1997 PGA Championship
in overwhelming fashion, at Winged Foot Golf Club. Love carded a
miraculous score of 269, including three rounds of 66, a score which would
have been good enough to win the 1994 U.S. Open (also held at Winged Foot)
by 7 strokes. Davis teamed with Couples for a record four consecutive
World Cup Titles (1992-1995). He also won the World Cup invitational title
in 1996.

features a description of the item and the moment in history it reflects.
